In a uniquely challenging process, Helen melts horizontal and vertical layers of glass into a large thick slab then sliced into striped tiles, which are cut into cubes and lightly polished. Each glass cube is then rebuilt into a new pattern and fired back into another slab in the kiln and then suspended over an elevated hole to create the bowl shape.
